Bronze Membership -8 Beginner Lessons

This program has been specially designed for the beginner student (ages 8 to 10) to learn the basic techniques of goaltending. Each private lesson focuses on a proper GOALtending TEChnique which consists of a specific skill to be learned and practiced until success is achieved. These regular lessons are taught at a rate the student is comfortable with, and reviewing different techniques will be quite common. At Goal Tec, we understand that “You have to walk before you can run”. We will work towards helping you get to that next level, but you must be willing to work hard as well! Goaltending is a very difficult position. Make sure you understand that before you get between the pipes!

8 Regular Lessons Include

• 250 shots - 200 from instructor, 50 from Boni puck shooter
• 30 minutes of on-ice instruction with continuous positive feedback
• Over 50 practice drills for skill development; plus “Game Time”

Specific Skills Learned Each Lesson

1. Proper stance & lateral movement (shuffle, T-push)
2. Left pad save
3. Right pad save
4. Glove save & blocker save
5. Butterfly
6. Rebound control
7. Breakaways
8. Last lesson review, skill level evaluation

“The Art of Goaltending” Instructional DVD

Students will view Proper GOALtending TEChnique prior to each lesson on DVD.

8 Regular DVD Sessions

Student receives feedback and analyses after each on-ice lesson.
